It has long been known that sound has a powerful influence on human movement. You’ve likely experienced this yourself: your foot starts tapping to a beat, or your body naturally picks up pace when an energetic song plays. These responses happen largely on a subconscious level.

It turns out that golf swing motion can be influenced in a similar way. Of course, golf motions vary significantly. A 3-foot putt requires a very different movement than a 20-footer. A driver swing differs greatly from a short chip. To take full advantage of this sound-movement connection, each motion requires a specific sound pattern aligned with it. That’s exactly what Audio Golf provides.

With Prof. Chou’s background in classical music we discovered that the most effective sound patterns for golf are syllable-based phrases that are based on music theory. They work best to model a specific golf swing, are simple to use, and are easy to entrain to. We call them shot-specific phrases.
